Subscription Terms
Last updated: 20 April 2026— These terms cover Akoma Premium. They form part of our general Terms of Use. Where the Apple EULA conflicts with these terms for billing or refunds, the Apple EULA controls.
The one-screen version
- Akoma Premium is an auto-renewing subscription.
- Two plans: monthly and yearly. No free trial.
- Billing runs through Apple. Akoma never sees your card details.
- Prices are shown in your local currency on the paywall. The base price is USD 5.99 / month and USD 39.99 / year; Apple’s price matrix sets the equivalent tier in every other storefront automatically.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the period ends.
- Restore Purchases is always available on the paywall and in Profile.
1. Free tier and trial
Akoma is free to download and use with no time limit. The free tier includes everyday logging — shots, weight, side effects, water, mood, and a limited number of AI meal-recognition scans per month.
There is no free trial of Premium. You will be charged at the point of purchase. The paywall shows the exact amount in your local currency before you confirm.
2. What Premium unlocks
The Premium entitlement unlocks, in the current version of Akoma:
- Unlimited AI meal-recognition scans (free tier is capped).
- Full 8-week range on every trend chart.
- The Sunday weekly report.
- Custom reminder schedules.
- Priority response to support emails.
We may add features to Premium over time. We won’t remove features from Premium without at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.
3. Plans, prices, and auto-renewal
Akoma Premium is offered as:
- Annual —
com.akoma.app.sub.annual, billed once per 12 months. Base price: USD 39.99 / year. Localised equivalents are set by Apple’s price matrix automatically — the actual amount is shown on the paywall before you confirm. - Monthly —
com.akoma.app.sub.monthly, billed once per month. Base price: USD 5.99 / month. Same localisation mechanics as the annual plan.
Neither plan includes a free trial. The paywall is presented before any billing happens and shows the localised amount you will be charged.
Auto-renewal disclosure (Apple Schedule 2)
Akoma Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
Prices may change. If the renewal price would be different from the price you last paid, Apple will email you before renewal and require you to confirm the new price before charging; otherwise the subscription stops renewing.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Akoma Premium → Cancel.
- Web: sign in at appstore.com/account/subscriptions.
- In Akoma: Profile → Manage Subscription (opens the iOS subscription screen).
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium access until the end of the current paid period.
5. Refunds
Refunds are issued by Apple, not Akoma. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Under UK/EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts. By starting to use the subscription (e.g., running an AI meal scan), you acknowledge you wish us to begin the service immediately, and you consent to losing the right of withdrawal for any portion of the service that has been performed. You can still cancel auto-renewal at any time.
Residents of specific jurisdictions may have additional rights — see the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand), the Australian Consumer Law, or your national consumer protection regulator.
6. Restore Purchases
If you reinstall Akoma on a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe and tap Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Profile → Manage Subscription. RevenueCat will revalidate your receipt with Apple and unlock Premium within a few seconds.
7. Family Sharing
Family Sharing is not enabled for Akoma Premium at launch. We may enable it in a future update; until then, each household member who wants Premium needs their own subscription.
8. Offer codes and promotional offers
We may offer promotional pricing, intro offers, or offer codes from time to time. Any promotional subscription automatically converts to a standard auto-renewing subscription at the regular price when the promotion ends, unless you cancel first. Promotional offers are subject to Apple’s rules for promotional offers.
9. Availability
Akoma is available in every App Store storefront where Apple permits distribution of health and fitness apps. Sanctioned jurisdictions (currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Crimea) are excluded by Apple automatically. The app is English-only at launch; we’ll localise the UI for our most-requested markets in a future update.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these subscription terms in a way that affects your subscription, we’ll notify you in-app and by email at least 30 days before the change. You can cancel before the change takes effect if you don’t want to continue.
